7 Prospect Place is part of a listed terrace – an original building of Old Dursley. Although tucked away in this small market town, there are lovely views from here of the surrounding hills.
The accommodation offers one double bedroom, one twin and one single room. There is a large bathroom and a separate shower room with a washbasin and loo.
Breakfast is served in the dining room (shown in the picture), which contains many original features of the building. I cook on my AGA, with mainly local farm products, and the marmalade and all jams are homemade. For those with an appetite the full breakfast is a four-course meal, while a continental breakfast is also available.
Ideal for walkers, as it is on The Cotswold Way, Dursley is also well situated for visits to Slimbridge and Westonbirt, as well as being convenient for various yearly events, such as Badminton, Gatcombe Park horse trials and The Cheltenham races. It is also a suitable base for visits to Berkley Castle and their Farm Fair. There is a great Beer Festival at the end of august in Frocester.
